well like i said in a earlier post , ive had paint peeling on the top of my 97 ss/t . well im going to get it painted and while i was at it im going to have the ss/t strips put on. i havent seen another one around , are the strips a decal or are they painted? and if there painted how wide are they and how far apart between the strips? my truck is white with ether blue or purple lettering.
any help from you ss/t owners, i need it. Thanks Mike |

The SS/T comes with decals for stripes. Your lettering is blue. There are a number of different businesses that you can buy from. You can do a search for them on the web.
Oh and just so you know I'm not a SS/T owner!!! |

I was just kidding around with you about the SS/T owner thing...I had a price quote (about 2 years ago) from a dealer and this is what they said:
4897175-AA Tape Kit Hood 330.66 4897177-AA Tape Kit Roof 283.90 4897181-AA Tape Kit Grille 194.00 4897179-AA Tape Kit Tailgate 214.00 There are places online that sell them cheaper. I know of one place that is an authorized seller of the kits (with a lot cheaper prices) but I can't remember the name of them for the life of me and I can't find their brochure right now! You might try doing a search for old posts here since this is where I find out about that business. Something like Phoenix Graphics or Amazon Graphics...I can't remember right now! I'll let you know if I find something later though. Good luck! |

Thanks agean GQ i went to DC and i almost blacked out when they told me the prices!!!, a friend ov mine has a body shop and he is the one thats going to paint my truck, he said that if i got all the proper sizes he would paint them on for gust a little more if i helped, so thats the route im going to take ,i dont know if that will devalue my truck any but it sure beats spending that much money . if you or amyone can tell me what the sizes are we can take it and run . Thanks agean Mike

To add info to that link I believe that the width of stripes varies between 11" and 11 7/8".
I'm sure that you can have them measured before you do anything though right? |
