Sorry, it wont fit. Frame rails on 67 to 76 A bodies are wider than the earlier 60 to 66 versions. If you're swapping to a V8, Schumacher should have what you need. http://www.engine-swaps.com/frames/frame_Homepage.html

Thanks alot for the help, I kinda figured that would be the problem, I wasn't sure. I guess ill look elsewhere, I cant see 150 .00 for mounts when I can get a k for 75.00. thanks

Wit the time involved in the swap, I think the Schumakers kit is well worth it.

Why would you want to use beat up junkyard parts when you're not restoring your car? If you're going to modify it, aftermarket is the way to go. With Schumacher mounts, you can still keep your stock K frame and install the new motor mounts without having to rummage through potentially weakened, damaged parts, thus saving yourself a step. To me, the extra money spent is well worth it.

yeah your right about beat up, up north that is, where its very rusty, however I have found a very good piece in nice condition, and I'm sorry but I dont have all the cash in the world to be throwing to this, i think I will put the extra 85 bucks to good use like maybe shortened 8 3/4 since I cant find a good one of those either. or should I use a 9" like everyone else. Just because I'm not restoring my car doesnt mean what I am building is crap. thanks for the reply though.

I don't think that I know of anyone that is using a FERD 9" rear in their MOPAR. The FERD 9" is an inferior unit.

There is an axle dimensions diagram, in the archives. Using that, you should be able to watch ebay and find yourself a good 8¾ that you can use with no mods. Getting one cut back and then getting the correct axles, isn't cheap.

At what point did anyone state that your car is crap, just because you aren't restoring it? I don't see where anyone said that. I know that I was just pointing out that to me, the Schumaker kit is worth the extra $75 so, that I wouldn't have to pul the K member out of the donor car, pul the K member out of my car, install the new k member in my car, and then get a proper front end alignment.

Also, very few of us have all the cash in the world, to be throwing at their project cars. My car is a very long work in progress. Two rounds of extended unemployment really put a crimp on buying parts and tools to work on her
